SALT SPRAY SOAP

Handmade-in-Bermuda artisan soap, whipped body butters, emulsified salt scrubs and lip balms. Located on Water Street, St. George's, Salt Spray Soap brings luxury to Bermuda through a wide variety of pure oils and butters.

Bermudian Genelle John has a passion for head-to-toe natural products.

Her shops sell artisan soap products which Ms John makes by hand, using different combinations of shea butter, mango butter, extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and castor oil. Her lip balm features locally sourced beeswax.

Ms John uses seawater when making her soap to harden the bar and make it last longer in the shower, hence the name "Salt Spray Soap"!

She opened Salt Spray Soap in St. George’s in October 2015, with the store launch actually coinciding with Art Walk: Masquerade that year!

Salt Spray Soap also expanded into a second location in Dockyard's Clocktower Mall as of October last year.

Ms. John states: “We hope to continue to grow our local customer base. I focus daily on sustainability so that we can be known as ‘Bermuda’s Skincare’. We have an America’s Cup branded soap coming very soon as well as one or two brand new products with fun, seasonal gift packing.”

Visit Salt Spray Soap during Knot the Art Walk on May 27, 2017 and get your own natural handmade goodies from Bermuda's ONLY soap factory!
