Sui Generis Dance Team represents quality dancing with style, talent and innovative choreography. Look out for them at 4PM during Knot the Art Walk on Saturday, May 27th!
Sui Generis Dance Team was established in February 2013; under the direction of Ms. Deshae Edness with the assistance of Ms. Janae Peterson. Sui Generis means 'unique' in Latin. The leaders strive to encourage each young lady to be themselves, bring forth their confidence, and exhibit pride when performing. Sui Generis is not only a dance team; they are family. They currently have 30 young ladies; aged between 8-22 years old. Their first performance was the Bermuda Day Parade in May 2013. This performance was a success, which led to other opportunities such as The Annual Iron Kids Marathon, The Bermuda Regiment Family Fun Day, The Royal Naval Dockyard Family Day and both Somerset and St. Georges Majorette Extravaganzas and several other community events. This year they will be making two appearances in the America’s Cup 2017 - on June 4th and June 10th.
Sui Generis Dance Team represents quality dancing with style, talent and innovative choreography. Over the years they have been commended for their unique talents, organization and creative dress attire. This year’s Bermuda Day Parade theme is “Our Sporting Heritage” and they are representing cheerleaders. They are also happy to celebrate their 5th year Anniversary! Through all their hard work and dedication, they hope to celebrate another 5 years.
